The above mural was commissioned by LA's Museum of Contemporary Art; the catch... It was painted by the (anonymous) graffiti artist BLU, and he had free reign as to the concept. Once it was unveiled MOCA immediately had it painted over. So much for artistic expression and freedom of speech.
